The creation of OvinApp becomes a reality when wanting to start in the sheep farming business. We came across the most common problems for a person who is just starting out in this business; we know it can be profitable, but how do we start?, who guides us?, what data do we need to begin?, how do we select the breed for our purpose?

It was when we started looking for information about what are the pillars of this productive process that the idea occurred to us of helping people who were dealing with the same problems and uncertainties as us.

Animal health, feeding, lambing times, livestock theft, are all problems that any producer can have if they do not know how to handle them well, or if they do not have them well controlled, and even better, recorded.

OvinApp seeks to help those producers, those who are just starting out, those who have already been at it for a while, those who find it hard to be tidy or to keep their information up to date, those who forget to record, those who still use paper sheets, those who do not record, those who have few or many animals, all of those.

So that their business is more efficient, profitable, differentiated and with better quality products, that helps other people at a social level as well as at a community level..

It is estimated that Latin America and the Caribbean in 30 years will have a population of 750 million inhabitants, it is time to start doing things right, to start professionalizing our producers, to give them tools to generate better products, to be more efficient in the use of resources and to be ready for when the world’s food needs begin to become scarce and  become more demanding.

From OvinApp, we commit to supporting livestock families so that together we support the achievement of one of the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs), which is to achieve food security and better nutrition, and to promote sustainable agriculture.

How? By making our small contribution so that our countries, thanks to a better use of technology, achieve better results with fewer resources, promoting a model of sustainable, nutritious livestock farming that allows more people to venture into the food security of their families.
